Ducati, the Italian brand known to develop some of the most beautiful two-wheeler machines on the planet is developing a super light version of its already light motorcycle, the 1199 Panigale R. This particular model will be very exclusive and will be called the 1199 Panigale R Superleggera. Only 500 models are expected to make their way out from the Bologna company and will be sold through invitation only.
The 1199 Panigalre R Superleggera will be built using titanium, carbon fiber and magnesium in order to reduce around 18kg. Mechanically, the company is retuning the 1199cc Superquadro engine for power increase that would lie in the 22bhp zone.
It will get a list of features like top of the line Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes. It will sport the next generation electronic system package used by Ducati Corse in WSBK and MotoGP. Expect this exclusive piece of machine to be priced at $65,000 and yes, you thought right, you can buy an Audi A4 for that price!
