Ford F-150 Tremor Pace Truck 2014

8:02 AM
The 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor is the first true sport truck that Ford has produced since it eliminated the F-150 Lightning following the 2004 model year, and it is coming in nearly uncontested. It’s only real competition comes from the Ram R/T, which is essentially a short-wheelbase Sport model with a set of 4.10 gears, 22-inch rims and a nostril-style hood. Keep in mind, however, that Ram has yet to confirm an R/T model for its 2014 1500.

Now, the new-for-2014 Tremor is set to lead the pack at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series during the Michigan National Guard 200 race on August 17th. With its twin-turbo V-6 engine pumping out 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, the Tremor will have no problem being the pace truck for the upcoming race.
From the looks of things, there are only a few changes that transformed the base Tremor into the Tremor Pace Truck, including the safety lights and a more prominent "F-150 TREMOR" decal on the bed. The two models that will pace the race are draped in the red and pewter hues that we saw when Ford unveiled the model.
We’re uncertain whether this will result in a F-150 Tremor Pace Truck model for the public, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it.
