For the past four years, no team in Formula One has had as much success as Red Bull . With new regulations beginning in 2014 to even the playing field, we’re curious to see how dominant the reigning champs are going to be.
Fortunately, a lot of things still ring true for the team. It still has four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel on its side. It also still has engineer extraordinaire Adrian Newey. And lastly, it still has quite the car at its disposal with the all-new Red Bull RB10 race car.
Those three things have become the team’s recipe for success in the past four years and if any team has any dreams of upending the current champs from top Mt. Formula One, they’ve certainly got their work cut out for them.
To adhere to the new regulations of the sport, the RB10 was designed with a new nose design, new side pods and multi-tiered front wings. As far as performance goes, power comes in the form of a new 1.6-liter, turbocharged V-6. Also included is an Energy Recovery System that provides an electric boost to powertrain on its way to producing a peak output of 750 horsepower.
The design and overall makeup of the car is unique, as expected from somebody like Newey, and good reason suggests that the team engineers have concocted another winning formula that should equate to another title in the coming season .
At least those are the expectations for the team and knowing Vettel, Newey, and the rest of Infiniti Red Bull Racing, it’s going to take a lot to beat them.
