Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Petronas Green Edition 2014

7:30 AM
Mercedes launched a special edition A45 AMG at the 2014 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon. Called Petronas Green Edition. This model is based on the A45 AMG Edition 1 and was built as a tribute to the Petronas oil company, Mercedes-Benz’s major sponsor in F1.

The model was specially designed by AMG Performance Studio and, as its name suggests, is all about the green elements added to the car — a hat tip to Petronas. The model features green graphics on the front bumper and sides to spice things up a bit. On the inside, there are green highlights on the moldings, decors and stitching with special AMG logos on the headrests.

No details were revealed on the engine, so we expect this special edition to be offered with the same engine found in standard A45 AMG. This means it’ll carry a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers a total of 360 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque.

The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Petronas Green Edition will be limited to just 30 units and all of them will be offered exclusively for the Japanese market.
