For the 2013 SEMA Show , Mazda prepared "Club Sport" treatments for both the Mazda3 and Mazda6 that completely transform the look of the models. The Club Sport 6 concept features a menacing Mazda Design-exclusive Composite Grey finish and a Brilliant Black rooftop, combined with motorsport-inspired badging in neutral gray, black and red.
The special Club Sport graphics featured on this concept car have a varying line frequency and width, giving them a sense of movement.
This is the first Mazda6 production model shown to the North American market with a SKYACTIV-D 2.2-liter, clean-diesel engine. This engine will be offered on the production version Mazda6 starting the spring of 2014, and it will pump out 172 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque.
The SKYACTIV-D 2.2-liter engine did see some use in the Mazda6 during the GRAND-AM Rolex GX Series.
