Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class by Vath 2014

1:02 AM
The new CLA-Class is by far the coolest model launched by Mercedes in the past few years, so is no wonder that it is already enjoying a great success from tuners. We have seen quite a few tuning kits ever since the model was dropped on the market, and the latest one comes today from the German tuner Vath Automobiltechnik.

As usual the kit offered by Vath includes updates to both the exterior and the interior of the car, but the most important one is being made under the hood. By remapping the engine electronics, adding a new sports exhaust system and installing a new air filter system the tuner managed to increase the four-cylinder’s output from 208 to 265 horsepower.

As a result the CLA 250 will now sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 155 mph.

An increased output requires a more aggressive stance on the road, so the tuner is also offering a club sports coilovers that allows lowering the car’s ride by 20 (0.78 inches) to 65 millimeters (2.55 inches).
