Chevrolet Corvette Stringray P58 Concept by TZD

5:15 AM
The 2013 SEMA show is getting closer, and it’s not a shock to see that the newly launched Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be one of the stars of the show. We’ve already seen plenty of tuning kits for the 2014 Stingray — even an Aerowagon model — and today we get a look at another one. This new Stingray, which was developed by Michigan-based design house TZD, will be displayed at the Toyo Tires booth, alongside 20 other custom vehicles.

The model, dubbed the P58 Concept Stringray receives a sweet aero kit, new wheels and a few under-hood updates.

On the outside, TZD prepared an aero package to give the Vette a sleek look and a carbon-fiber, motorsports-style rear wing that makes the Stingray looking even more aggressive. Also added in is a set of one-off Vossen Monoblock wheels, sized 20 inches up front and 21 inches around back. These rims are wrapped snug in a set pf Toyo Proxes T1R ultra high-performance tires.

There are no specifics on what the tuner did under the hood, but judging by the "Pfadt" banner on the windshield and the "P58" name, we are 99.9-percent sure that the Stringray P58 Concept carries the Pfadt P58 tune, which includes a cold-air intake, tri-Y headers and a Pfadt engine calibration. This will push the Corvette’s V-8 to a total of 580 horsepower — 120-horsepower increase over the base Stingray.
