BMW is in full swing with its all-new 4 Series, as we have already seen the 4 Series Coupe, a concept version of the M4 and we’ve caught the M4 testing. The one that has remained relatively elusive to date is the M4 Convertible, which will be the replacement for the M3 Convertible.
Well, we can now lay that to rest, as our spy photographers caught the drop-top M4 out testing on public roads. The details are still pretty sketchy on the entire M4 lineup, but we can tell that the M4 convertible will unsurprisingly have a retractable hard-top and will not stray too awful far from the M4 Coupe’s design language.
What powers the entire M4 line is still a relative unknown, but rumor has it that it will be the same revised 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder that the M3 Sedan will use. This will peg it at somewhere around 415 horsepower with a 0-to-60 time in the mid-4-second range and a 155 mph top speed.
More details will roll out soon, so stay tuned.
