Last year at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Carrozzeria Touring unveiled a very cool interpretation of the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 Disco Volante. Since then, the company changed its name to Touring Superleggera and for this year's 2013 Geneva Motor Show it will display a production version of the concept.
A very strange move, considering that last year the company announced this was just a styling exercise and that it lacked any running components. When compared to the concept version, the production version Disco Volante will receive a few design changes, carbon-fiber components and aluminum panels.
It was also reported that under the hood we will see the same engine found in the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione — a 4.7-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 450 horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque.
Full details will follow during the car's official debut in Geneva. Stay tuned to get updated with the latest news on this model.
