Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

11:38 AM

After debuting the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept back in April, Jeep has unveiled the production version which is set to arrive in showrooms in October 2012. According to Jeep, the Trailhawk is the perfect "evidence that even the most awarded SUV ever, and the most capable Grand Cherokee ever, can get even better."
The new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be offered with both V6 and V8 engines and will add a series of updates that will make it significantly better than the standard Grand Cherokee. These updates include a Quadra-Lift air suspension, with nearly 11 inches of ground clearance; Selec-Terrain traction control system with five settings: Snow, Rock, Sand/Mud, Sport and Auto; a Rear Electronic Limited-slip Differential; and Quadra-Track II or Quadra-Drive II (just for the V8 models).
Customers will distinguish the new Trailhawk Edition from the standard model thanks to its new signature red Trailhawk and Trail Rated badging and tow hooks, black-surround headlamps, unique gray grille surround, side mirrors, rear light bar, 4x4 badge, and five-spoke 18-inch aluminum wheels. The model will be offered in five exterior colors - Bright White, Brilliant Black, Mineral Gray, Maximum Steel, and Deep Cherry Red - combined with a black hood decal with a red accent stripe. For the interior, Jeep will add black leather and performance suede seats with red accent stitching and front and rear Mopar slush floor mats.
